Doubly Blessed

I was doubly blessed today.

By the grace of God, I was given to welcome 3 month-old-Daniel Nicholas Ferrante into the kingdom of God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit by Holy Baptism at 11 o'clock this morning. Gotta love that Church growth movement of our Lord.

Then Bumpa Pastor's Little Sweetie came by for a visit and lunch at The Olive Garden.

Bumpa's Little Sweetie, in pink, is my granddaughter Alexa who had a cancerous tumor (called an ependymoma) the size of a soup can removed from her left frontal lobe on January 3 of this year. She is currently in the middle of her second week of a series of 33 radiation treaments.

To read the story of this remarkable little girl and her amazing adventure of 2010, go to Bumpa's Little Sweetie blog.

Here is Alexa holding the CT scan image of her buddy--NOT!--super-imposed in the Baptismal font at which oor Lord made her His own.

God is good!
